Eileen Winterkorn, 1961 - 1991 Eileen Winterkorn, passed away in 1991, she was 30 years young. Cause of death - Cancer. Location of death - Prescott, AZ. Eileen has gone Home! God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, So he put his arms around you and whispered, "Come with me." With tearful eyes we watched you suffer, and I saw you fade away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove He only takes the best. It's lonesome here without you, we miss you more each day, life doesn't seem the same since you've gone away. When days are sad and lonely, and everything goes wrong, I seem to hear you whisper, "Cheer up and carry on." You seem to smile and say, "Don't cry, I'm in God's keeping, we'll meet again someday."--Anonymously
"Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven." - Jesus (Matt5:16)

Patrick McKay, 1960 - 198?
No information about the accident that claimed Patrick's life in California is to be written here per Ms. McKay (sister). Poems, memories or recollection about Pat when he was with us, is allowed and welcome here in this site.
Good bye dear friend. God has taken you away. It doesn't seem fair to me, but in the back of my mind, you will always be there. You weren't a close friend, but our paths did cross, and your absence in this world, is to me a great loss. You were too young to die man! And too innocent to feel that pain. Only heaven benefits, because with you it has now gained. I may think of you a little less with each passing day, but your strength is something I won't forget, you have changed us all in many a way. I wish for you eternal peace; that's what you deserve my friend. I hope I live my life well before God, enough to meet up with you in the end. Michael Santiago
I just finished reading the heartfelt tribute to Patrick McKay above. Oh, how I miss his smile and his easygoing ways!!!!!!!! I remembered that the last picture I have of Patrick is the one we all took at the 10th Reunion in '89. If you would like to post it on the site as well, I will send you a copy of mine. Sydnie Evans
*Sympathy notices are posted for approximately five years after a death. They are generally listed in the order the information is received, the most recent first. The East High Alumni Page has no special means of learning of deaths in families of alumni/faculty/staff other than information sent to us by alumni. We try to confirm such information based on published obituaries. We are sure that not all losses come to our attention and we regret that this page is not comprehensive. If you have information about a death in the family of an alumnus/facutly or staff member, you may contact us with that information. If you believe anyone listed here is posted in error, please notify me ASAP.
